The first thing that strikes you when you see the intro to this week's episode is that Yaguchi has done something to her hair. And that spectacular things seems to be happening in studio. Let's sum it up!
In the opening talk, Yaguchi tells us she has begun on a banana diet. Haruki, always the gentleman, blurts out "That's a tad late, isn't it?". Yaguchi in her defence comments that TV personalities and talents always lose weight and become extremely thin. Obviously not a good thing. Haruki brings up the balance ball and getting some exercise. He still loves Yaguchi though ;)
Yaguchi explains how banana diet works. Or at least so she was told by actress Mori Kumiko. (森公美子). Haruki leans backs and grins, saying "Yeah, I saw that on TV too!"
He then follows up with how he is unpolished (野性) and telling us about his latest diet. Yaguchi is interested. It's simple and only has one principal (足の裏): Don't get too attached (付く) to fat (脂肪) food. Yaguchi thinks this is somewhat "muri" :P
And then they go on to talk more about diets. About healthy things, like favourite fruit (果物). Fyi Yaguchi likes strawberries (苺). This is followed by silly fruit-impersonations by Haruki and speculations about why Apples (りんご) are more popular than Pears (なし). Could the cause be shiritori, the Japanese word-chaining game? Yes: This is an overly silly episode :D
Due to the misfortune of Pears, Haruki creates a new Shiritori. Yaguchi thinks it is horrible, but none the less they give us the new program slogan: "Yaguchi Hitori: Answer pear!" XD
Opening talk is finished, and we get this week's movie presented. Looks like it's still Chinese times in Yaguchi Hitori, as we get presented Red Cliff, Part 1: A movie about the 3rd kingdom, by John Woo (or John-san as Yaguchi calls him XD ), with Tony Leung Chiu Wai and premiering November 1st in Japan.
After hearing what John Woo makes on his movies, Haruki is stunned. He supposedly only earns 3000 yen on this program. Asking Haruki what she makes, she says 100 000 yen. This gets Haruki in "really serious preach mode" (説教マジ説教モード) XD
Looking at some of the stunts in the movie, with people shooting arrows from horses and what not. Yaguchi comments on how that looks difficult. Haruki corrects her saying he thinks it's simply "muri".
So in the interest of good entertainment: They will from now on scrutinize this kind of stuff. "Let's become idiots!" as Haruki says :D Onto the riding stools! The result? Yaguchi Hitori Maru(C) New Red Cliff, and we get to watch :D
We briefly have Karisma Nyuumon (カリスマ入門), some variety, covered in Entertainment Flash. Yaguchi also has a short change of outfit here, for something way better ;)
