This weeks episode has very little small-talk before the show gets going.
Almost immediately Yaguchi shows off a drawing she has made off Haruki. It's not bad, but could also easily have been mistaken for Elvis. Besides that the drawing itself essentially says "I'm a former member of Morning Musume", and leaves no doubt it was made by a female.
Haruki has also made a drawing of Yaguchi, and as you can guess: it doesn't look nearly as good. In fact it can't have taken him more than 2 seconds to make. In his defence though, you can recognize at least two Yaguchi-traits! At least if you try a little hard.
Yaguchi however... She falls over laughing before she starts to complain about Haruki's lack of effort. "What the heck is this?!?"
Today's guest is Ogawara Tomoko (小河原智子), mostly known for her cariacature drawing.
She shows off a few caricatures, amongst them actor and producer Kitano Takeshi and John Lennon. Yaguchi then brings back up Haruki's drawing, which he subtly and carefully puts back down and out of sight. Obviously not too proud about his mischiefs.
The guest then explains how she proceeds when she makes caricatures. Following this, the hosts then tries to make a caricature of each other. I wont spoil the outcome here, but it really looks crappy compared to what their guest makes of them, right there, on the spot.
Haruki makes a big deal out of Yaguchi's caricature. Yaguchi really does her best to look cuter than usual when she's being drawn, obviously nervous about the outcome. Yaguchi even gives the Haruki-caricature another try, but starts complaining even before she's finished, saying that it's looking like her dad.
After yet again laughing at Haruki's new drawing, Yaguchi has to admit the new one ain't that bad when compared to the one he made originally. When she gets presented the guests version, she screams so loud the studio-mics start clipping! To find out why, you better watch it yourself.
In the end we get presented a recipe for drawing Haruki's should we ever need to :P
In the entertainment section a few things are covered. Mary Antoinette is first one out. Yaguchi seems to love it, and Haruki to our surprise is showing signs of approval too.
This weeks DVD-release is Love-com (ラブ・コン), which seems to be some kind of high-school love-drama. Also featured is some 40 year anniversary-DVD for "日曜洋画劇場 淀川長冶の名画解説" which seems to have been a show with commentary on western movies.
For the books: "思いつき大百科辞". Very much in theme with the show this time: having lots of drawings, but here they are arranged by letters in the alphabet. This ofcourse leads to Yaguchi looking up Godzilla.
Clothing-wise Yaguchi keeps the same thing all the way trough, except as usual, for the entertainment section. We are back to the loose tie and that whole schoolgirl-thing, which still does look pretty cute.
This episode is pretty short on talk-only segments, so it should be on overall pretty enjoyable even for people who don't get much japanese. Get your fix over at Hello! Online.
