Yaguchi Mari appeared on TV-Hokkaidou's Asahiyama Doubutsuen together with actress Yasu Megumi (安めぐみ) today.
Unlike here, they actually have snow in Japan this time of year (we do have some but not much, so I'm just bitching). Yaguchi takes a dive into the snow, something Yasu seems to find horrible. Guess she is more of the cautious kind.
We get a tour around the Asahiyama zoo and see different kinds of animals. Also for each animals they see, there's a small quiz. We know how japanese girls and animals go together, so expect a lot of "Kawaiii!" in this one!
First animals we see are penguins marching in formation, which Yaguchi and Yasu find awfully cute. Next they enter a underwater glass tunnel where they can see the penguins swimming around. They both seem totally overwhelmed.
When they get to the rhinos, the fence is too tall for Yaguchi, so their guide lifts her up totally unasked, with somewhat mixed reactions. She is totally surprised and just laughs along as she asks "What are you doing?!?". She obviously thought getting face to face with the rhino was somewhat frightening.
Next up are polar bears, again behind a glass so you can see them swimming around. Both Yaguchi and Yasu seems to love these, although Yasu is the only one commenting on how the polar bears have cute feet.
Next up are sea-lions. We also get to see some actual lions. Who would have thought they have them in Hokkaidou of all places?
If it were up to Yaguchi zoos wouldn't have much animals, as she wanted to keep more or less everyone for herself. How surprising is that? :P
