This week's episode starts of with some mail as usual, then they present the "Japanese Top-10 surname-ranking". Surnames seems to be the topic at hand here.
As they present the list "Takahashi" and "Tanaka" ends up on 3rd and 4th place resspectively, and Yaguchi complains about her surname not being there. Then Yaguchi and Haruki moves on to find out what ranking their surnames have.
Yaguchi is totally surprised by her ranking, but at the same time she notes that she is happy about it. Haruki is also surprised about his ranking, but mostly due to how it turns out relative to Yaguchi's.
Then they move on to the top 10 American surnames. The top 3 are concealed and the hosts try to guess what they are. Yaguchi suggests "Jack Wilson", as a surname, and gets immediately corrected by Haruki. After a little thinking they both make up their minds for what has to be number one, and they are indeed correct.
After they are done with this they move on to see what their name matches up with (ranking-wise) compared to American and French names. The comments made about this, particularly around Haruki's names is what makes this funny.
The guest this week is Shimizu Akihara, promoting his CD "Tokyo nanoni night". First question Yaguchi asks him, seems to silence him completely as if he has no idea what's going on, but he insists that he is "only thinking".
He gets asked and talks about foreign people, particularly women, and his love for those. He shows off a few English pick-up lines, and then we move on to the entertainment news.
Covered today is the Japanese DVD-release of the American TV-SHOW "The OC". Lot's of talk about the show, and Yaguchi thinks some of the cast members looks beautiful. There's an actual interview with Mischa Barton, but it is being conducted by the movie-woman, not Yaguchi or Haruki. She does have a message for Haruki though, and he seems to almost like the attention.
Also covered is the DVD-release of The devil wears Prada.
Book is クマムシ, and seems focused on bugs. Yaguchi seems sort of freaked out as she opens the book, but Haruki just loves it and has to show off pages after pages.
As usual, a few screenshots. And a torrent too.
