Yaguchi Mari appeared on TBS's Asobi Tamashii. So... Disregard all I've mentioned before, if I've mentioned anything at all: This show is about food. Gourmet food. It's that simple.
There are two teams. An idol-team with Yaguchi Mari and Natsukawa Jun (夏川純). The other team is called Hokuyou (北陽), and consists of Abukawa Mihoko (虻川美穂子), Itou Saori (伊藤さおり). This is a comedian-team, and according to dcpoor, Abukawa is the one from Haneru no Tobira, which Yaguchi had to switch clothes with, which I can sort of agree on. Nasty couple :P
The whole point of the show is seeing or eating food, and then guessing prices. At least that's how I get it. After Hokuyou gets the first one right, they immediately gets high and mighty and starts commenting on how idols are no good and stuff.
These of remarks kinda continues troughout the episode whenever they get a chance. This kind of excessive behaviour... Could it be jealousy? :P
Anyway, back to the food, the gourmet food, some of it looks so amazing that it has the idols literally begging for it! To no avail. Poor idols XD
When Yaguchi and Natsukawa gets to pick food, they both seem very eager on French food. Guess I'm not surprised. They don't get less eager when they see the food prepared either. Anything made with a 1998 Dom Perignon in the sauce should be good!
Anyway... This is all food, with some competitive element too it. And lots of those reactions you expect from Japanese idols when food are involved.
A pretty good watch actually. I'm tempted to say better than this week's Yaguchi Hitori ;)
