Listening to it for the first time I thought "Hey, she sounds just like one of my all-time favorite Japanese singers, Chisato Moritaka". Exactly her style, and I did get the period right...
"Mugon Iroppoi" was in fact sung by Shizuka Kudo and is a perfect example for a late-80s jpop song.
Mari does a nice job flirting with the camera again, and for her last appearance on the Uta Doki feature honoring her she even changed her costume, sans le wool cap at last.
Why she gestures us to "shhhhhh" in the end I don't know though. Maybe she wants us to savour the last six days with a brief commemorative moment :-)
