Note: Mikan = manadarin fruit
Another Morning Musume version of Midtown TV this time! We have Takahashi, Niigaki, Michishige and Linlin. They're here to promote their wonderful spirit raising single Mikan. Oh before I continue, I warn you, Yaguchi looks innnn~CREDIBLY cute here!
As always we start of with some talk, here it's about the single of course. Yaguchi announces that this show will be titled "モーニング娘。みかん料理SP" (Morning Musume Mikan Cooking Special). Now that's a good thing to hear, because I'm starving right now, or is that bad? Never mind that, we're moving on to Nama Yaguchi News. Here we see Biyuden giving us a heads up that their newest single "Single Best 9 Vol.1" is released! Great to know that, girls.
Then we get back to the show, notice the lovely "モー娘みかん料理にチャレンジ"-icon at the top right. (Momusu Mikan Cooking Challenge) So let's move on to the cooking part, which get's announced with another title, "鉄板アイドル☆クッキングSP テーマ「みかん」" (Mikan Themed Teppan Idol Cooking Special. Enough titles already! Then our top-cook gets announced and comes on-screen, get ready for a serious laugh here!! (xD oh man he's so good)
Today they will make some delicious zensai, now I thought these were small Japanese snacks, correct me if I'm wrong. Anyways, each of the contestants will make their own dish, just as last week. While they're preparing the foods and are spreading a wonderful smell through the whole studio, they're going on with the questions-section. One thing which is clear to me is that sometime Linlin and Takashi were waiting on the bus and at that time Takahashi was listening to some music and dancing all strange, or something. ; ) And the rest is some talk about Takahashi's favorite move.
We get interrupted by the Hometeam leader about the food, Michishige is adding mandarin to the 'mikan-soup'. Strange combination at first, but I can imagine something tasty already. Niigaki's tofu looks delish, tofu is delish when served in a nice broth. The top-cook ruins everything, it seems (s)he loves cabbage!
Back from the CM, Marumaru-san is switched with Hometeam-san, and Ai-chan and Linlin have been switched. Linlin looks clueless here, cute, but she's going to make Pitan-tofu, I think pitan is python. Ai-chan shows how to cook, it fits her! Only things left are funny talk and some questioning and of course the food showdown.
The mikan-mandarin soup by Sayumi seems to be tasty, Ai-chan's fishy-rice seems even better. Only Yaguchi seems to dislike the fish, she really shows it on her face. Haha, that's so cute. Now the most surprising part is that "soup", is it alive?! See for yourself!
That last scene where Hometeam-san is being fed is a winner! You can find the recipees for these strange looking, but wonderfully tasting dishes on the Midtown TV Blog.
