This week's episode has no guest, but lots of food. Love it or leave it :)
When this week's episode starts, we have Haruki asking Yaguchi what she did after new years. To Yaguchi's surprise. Playing along, she mentions she was doing the H!P concerts, while Haruki went to LA and Universal Studios. And lots of stuff about things there. With Yaguchi constantly mentioning how she wants to go.
I have yet to hear her say the same thing about Oslo for some strange reason. Grrrrr!
This week's movie is No reservations or "Shiawase no recipe" (幸せのレシピ) as they decided to call it in Japan. Best part about the introduction to this movie is looking at Yaguchi and Haruki. Yaguchi seems alll dreaming, while Haruki seems dead bored. This really reflects in the talk afterwards. It's all Yaguchi talking and talking and talking and Haruki is content nodding every now and then :P
The reason for this might be in Yaguchi's conclusion: "And it's a love movie. Right?" :D
Following this is a "short" segment where Yaguchi and Haruki try on something kinda lika a recipe for happiness. And ofcourse it involves food, chicken steak specifically. Yaguchi comes up with the initiative, and Haruki sort of takes the lead :P
Messing around with the steaks, Yaguchi gets asked if she knows anything about this, which she admittedly doesn't. Haruki then proceeds to ask the same about curry XD
After a while Yaguchi insists she knows how to make curry, but before she can finish the sentence, Haruki throws in "But anyone can do that!". He lets Yaguchi get the final word when Yaguchi somewhat miffed claims that her curry is particularly good :P
After they are done prepping the steak, about halfway into the show, Haruki suggests they might have to cut "opening talk" soon ;) Ofcourse we aren't done until the steak is fried (and Yaguchi gets some pepper for this as well :P ) and tasted.
In conclusion: Not spoiling the outcome, but the conclusion is that we should get the DVD for "No reservations".
As for Maimai and this week's recommended movie... Sukiyaki Western Django which was covered twice in September last year, but now it's out on DVD. While a repeat, it still looks pretty good.
This week's competition is also about food, with a few objections about the rules. I'll let it slip that Yaguchi actually wins this one, and that her reaction is priceless. So is Haruki's :D
Also covered is What I like about you - season 1, called "Koisuru Manhattan" (恋するマンハッタン) in Japan.
So this episode has lot's of good talk, puns and burns, and some burns can even be taken somewhat literal. Anyway, it's all food and a pretty good episode in my books :)
All that is left to say, except screenshots and torrent, must be that the Maimai-section next week looks fabulous. Looking forward to it already!
