In this week's Yaguchi Hitori the theme is music and we do have a guest. Nothing to get overly excited about though.
The featured movie this week is Sadistical Mikaela Band, a documentary about Japanese rock as far as I can tell. Well, rock'n'roll anyway.
After we've gone trough the movie-briefing, the guest is introduced: "Legendary musician" Matsuzawa Ken (松澤健). Doing a self-introduction he plays the JR-music, on the piano. Probably a lot more fascinating to people who knows Japan Railways, I'm sure.
What goes on trough the program is that the guest plays stuff on a piano, and the hosts are to guess what he is playing. This goes on for pretty much the entire regular studio-section. You'd think it would be the other way around, but judging from this it seems Haruki is the one who knows about music ;)
After going on forever, and also dropping by Windows XP jingles in the process, the hosts get to try to play the JR Railways announcement jingle before we round it off. So. Not really very interesting.
Weekly entup corner: Maimai has chosen Sad vacation as this week's recommended movie. This seems to be a drama where absolutely everything goes wrong for most people involved. No idea how the games relate to the movie, but it's a contest involving mouth harps.
The best part of this episode is probably Maimai right here trying to show Yaguchi and Haruki how things are done, and it turns out she is the only one who can't do it. We also have Haruki teasing Yaguchi and Yaguchi hitting Haruki. You know, the usual fun ;)
While the competition is kinda crap, look out for Haruki's eyebrows and Yaguchi very attentively trying to figure out what the hell he is playing. As a prize they win seemingly uneatable cookies.
So... Definitely not a phenomenal episode, and whatever there is worth witching is in my opinion in the weekly entup corner.
Yaguchi looks good in both sections though, and you simply got to love the Indian-like outfit she has in the entup-section.
