Midtown TV (24.4.2008)

2008.4.24 - Updated 2008.4.25 - Jostein

This week's guests are Biyuuden Show opens up with the girls quickly introducing themselves, like that would be needed ;)

Biyuuden makes sure to mention their latest and final single, Nannimo iwazuni I LOVE YOU, and tour (Osaka June 8th, Tokyo June 28th and 29th). You can also get signed biyuuden posters if you are interested.

In Nama Yaguchi News we have C-ute showing off their latest single: Namida no Iro, release yesterday. Surprisingly no mention of Resonant blue, but I guess MM did that last week and once is enough.

Yaguchi moves right on to the questions: Usually biyuuden wears these kind of sexy outfits, but this time it's different. More kawaiii. What's up? I don't really get Ishikawa's answer, but wth. Ishikawa is talking and she has a cute voice. Ishikawa does most of the talking ;)

Following this is a segment called "Nama Yaguchi Princess! Biyuudensetsu!" (美勇伝説). Densetsu meaning tradition/folklore, this is basically stuff about biyuuden history. Among other things they get questions about their most impressive feats. Unless I'm getting things awfully wrong here (again), Yaguchi suggests that Yui overcoming her Osaka-dialect could be one of them :D

Following this the guests are to rank what they think is the sexiests PV they have done. Ishikawa thinks Icecream to my purin ranks high. And ofcourse, this wouldn't be Midtown TV if we at least didn't get a few peeks. They pretty much play the entire PV while talking. Watching it Yaguchi suggests it might have been a little embarrassing and frightening making that one ;)

Erika chooses Hitorijime. PV and talk. Yui goes for Jaja Uma Paradise. More PVs, but here Yaguchi actually laughs out loud to some of the dance-moves, followed by "Excuuuuuuuse me"! Watching it, it's not too hard to understand why ;)

After some short promotions we move on to biyuuden's secret concert stories (コンサート秘語で美勇伝のヒミツ). Lots of talk over some concert-clips. I'm not a big enough biyuuden fan to look for the secrets myself. You see if you pick anyone up ;)

As usual there is the home-team section about halfway into the show. This time there is a "They Returned!" idol-challenge. Whatever that is supposed to mean. Rules are simple: "Act" out 1 song-title within 1 minute. If home-team guesses it, you get a point.

All the songs here are ofcourse biyuuden-songs, and just to make it extra difficult the home-team is given parts of the title as a hint. Ishikawa puts on a totally grumpy face when the home-team doesn't get her imitation. No Charmy! :D Other things you can look forward to: Yui trying to act out "purin". You will not believe this XD

Yaguchi is in despair when she sees what is in store for her. She has to act out "Japan" from the title "カッチョイイゼ JAPAN". She tries to act out the kanjis for 日本. That is however not a easy feat for one person :P

As for the Ishikawa's second chance, that is just a pure mockery of the competition! They have been saying "Nannimo Iwazuni I LOVE YOU" troughout the show, and the home-team is given the hint "Nannimo Iwazuni ○○○○○○○○". Not kidding here XD

Home team repeatedly guesses "Atashi! Haato! Douzu!". Ofcourse in the end they "get it", but who cares about this all being an act, rigged or whatever? Watching Ishikawa here is pure gold. Also: After Ishikawa's act the home-team just wont stop with the douzo's. Watch Biyuuden-members in despair :D

This isn't really a competition where the home-team has to guess at all. They are just doing their best to come up with anything not obvious, and this is really quite funny. This goes on for a while. I'll let you discover the rest for yourself ;)

Whoever loses the game has to endure the batsu-games. A few of the girls are not happy about this, to which they get the reply: "That's the kind of show this is! :D". This might seem obvious, but it isn't for a reason I'll let you work out on your own. The batsugames involves re-enacting some of best monomane I have seen on this show. Samurai monomane :D

Last week... I kinda thought it said something about being this week maybe being the last episode. Or something. Disregard that. We get instructed to "please watch us next week!". And damnit it would be nice if someone bothered to correct me when I'm blatantly wrong :D

Before the episode ends, there is that U-15 corner thingie again, evidently called "Wadai-chaan" (話題ちゃーん). Bleh. Don't care.

Lots of screenshots because I loved this episode.
