For some odd reason work is not killing me right now, and I actually have time to watch this episode before giving it the thumbs up and like whoah! Yeah.
The featured movie this week is One missed called. We move almost right to the introduction, but before that Yaguchi is smiling like crazy here.
For those who haven't seen the movie: It's a horror about a missed call, and then people seeing crazy stuff, going crazy and then going dead. I think I've seen a plot-line remotely like this before, but at least that movie involved AKB48 cast :D
Following the introduction of the movie, there's some slight discussion about this mysterious movie. Yaguchi thinks it's a slightly scary concept. They do however try to a in-studio reenactment. There's no evil ghosts hunting the studio, but at least we get to know that Haruki could be a pretty good creepy caller.
Since all this stuff in the movie happens to people with cecllphones, this week's studio segment seems to focus on cellphones. Ancient cellphones in a section called "It was like this!".
Following this they talk about Hikari (one of the Shinkansen lines), and this episodes guests enters: A mr. Yamanaka (山中直明). They talk about the Hikari-line and how to talk there. Or something. Not really the most interesting section, to be quite honest.
What follows this talk is much better. Haruki and Yaguchi talk over a cup-to-cup wire "phone". It's short, but just the expression on Yaguchi's face and her reaction to whatever Haruki is saying just makes me want to sneak-listen in the studio.
Following this they get a brief explanation of how this works, and they get to make a primitive audio-to-light modulator thingie. I mean Yaguchi makes one. Using a soldering iron. Yes, Yaguchi is indeed using a soldering iron in this episode.
The total concentration she is emitting is impossible to not see. I doubt your inner geek will see this too many times, so don't miss it! :D
In the weekly entertainment section, Maimai has CSI: New York (Season 2) chosen out. This is surely real news to most of us, but those in studio are pretty excited none the less :D
Maimai's game this week is pretty basic. The hosts basically has to figure out what various things are, starting with a rather close-up zoom. All are three-letter words. As usual there is a time limit. While the game is basic, some of these ones are tough, and Yaguchi almost flunks on the first one ;)
Also covered in a breeze: Highschool affair (高校生ブルース) and Amazing Surfing stories.
And people complaining about Yaguchi's choice of clothes lately: Tell me she doesn't look good in this :D
Anyway. Nothing out of the ordinary, but there are soom good moments here. Screens and torrent.
