New week, new episode. Just skimming over the intro-preview this one seems to have more to offer than the regular shows. Let's see if that's the case!
Right onto this week's featured movie: Dragon Kingdom (ドラゴン・キングダム), or simply The forbidden kingdom for the rest of the world. Movie featuring both Jet Li and Jackie Chan. There's lots of flashy fighting scenes though and you can hear Yaguchi silently saying "Kakkoii na~~" ;)
Expect some time to be spent talking about the movie and how it was a big hit in the US and how having both Jet Li and Jackie Chan in the same movie is awesome. Honestly I don't care: Yaguchi has cool looking clothes here and looks awesome ;)
Following this is a section about muscle suits (マッスル スーツ！ for those interested in the engrish :D ). Guest in this section is Kobayashi Hiroshi (小林宏) from Tokyo Scientific University. They talk about muscle suits.
Yaguchi asks Haruki if he wouldn't like to try a muscle suit. Harauki says it would be cool, but that he already has muscles. Yaguchi cheekely asks "Surely you mean you don't have muscles?" :P
This time it's Yaguchi's turn to grill Haruki. When he insists he has muscles, she pressures on and simply asks "Where?!". Haruki will have to prove his case.
First he gets to try to lift some stuff without any assistance. Then ge gets some backing. The "muscle suit" if you like. This being Japan and all... Yes you are rihgt: Basically a exo-sceleton, but not a full blown mecha-suit. Not yet.
Getting the suit on an fitted properly seems to involve a lot of work. Yaguchi makes a lot of comments during the process, and Haruki asks her to stop :D
He claims it's "scary", and once the suit is properly fitted we can see why: He has been converted into a robot. Or at least so it can seem looking at his posture and behaviour ;)
Quickly Haruki starts fooling around with fighting poses and air-katanas. Haruki also seems worried about dance-moves of all things! So has this little addon made Haruki more of a man?
They repeat the experiment to find out. Yaguchi's comments seems to imply so ;)
In the end Haruki shows of to the world how manly this muscle-suit makes him, and he does so by manhandling Yaguchi. Yaguchi has one comment and one comment only: Hido~~~i! :P
Following this is a section called "This evening's long, rich talk" or something to that extent. Expect Haruki to be talking. This is probably as close as you will ever come to a biblical Haruki ;)
It also has Haruki doing some "prank-calling" to some Katou-guy I have no idea who is, besides a university teacher. Yaguchi is constantly laughing and Haruki tries as best he can to cool her down, so she doesn't ruin his act. Evidently he wants to find out how many people will fit in a whale's stomach.
Not to be cranky, but if this is to be a permanent substitute for Maimai's corner, I'll probably get... Well a bit cranky. The official homepage says it's just vacation though, so I'll take their word for it.
