Watched part of Kung Fu Kun and it's definitely a kids movie which is different but at least it keeps the kids away from the endless anime or the thread of getting sucked into the Disney vortex.
Did not realize some actresses from Hana Yori Dango (Sato Megumi and Sada Mayumi) are in it probably since I have been putting off watching that series forever it seems. Everyone's favorite Ueno Juri is in it also but not looking into the cast beyond Yaguchi, Izumi Pinko and Yakkun it was another oversight. But then again maybe I did and forgot since news of the film surfaced so long ago.
Plot seems a bit thin but final verdict will have to wait until subs appear or I become fluent in Japanese. Yaguchi is undercover as an elementary school student! 8) Considering some of the kids are taller than her disbelief can be suspended a bit. Funny how the fat kid is always wearing shirts with pictures of hamburgers on them.
As far as I can tell the kid gets sent to Japan to face his final opponent and gets a bracelet which tells him when that person is close. Meanwhile an evil organization tries to brainwash his friends at the elementary school.
More to come after I watch it again in a more awake state.
