New week, new episode. Right from the start: Haruki is doing all the talking.
Evidently he has stopped seeing his doctor, and weird things are happening to him. He gives a long, rough talk on this. We hear about him going to the hospital and what not. In the end it seems he has gotten warts due to ageing.
After going trough all this, Yaguchi does something surprising. She does not yell "Yabai!" or "muri muri" or thinks the story is near as icky as you would suspect. She asks to see evidence! Haruki is eager to please. Getting her wish granted, she tries not to laugh, all while telling Haruki how this really isn't a laughing matter.
Following this spooky intro, we get introduced to the featured movie: Twilight Syndrome. A horror movie featured around a creepy clown and a game "enjoyable" game named the same as the movie.
They talk about the movie, agree it looks scary. Yaguchi seems to relate it to the terrors of going to school (or something) while Haruki is intentionally getting it wrong, confusing it for backlight.
He keeps on intentionally confusing things, confusing me even more :)
They talk about going to parks. That and tako, as in octopus. He claims that no matter where you go, there's always octopus-stuff, and he wonders why the hell is that? Has Haruki all of a sudden turned into a gaijin to notice this? :D
To answer all these mind-blowing questions they have a guest, a Mr. Nagakubo (長久保明), straight from the park business, our very own tako-stand man. Haruki refuses to believe it and needs this clarified. He's been in the business for 42 years or something like that. Anyway he better have some answers!
Not sure what's going on here, but all of a sudden we are back to the movie. And then we see miniature sculptures of tako-like park decorations. Then we jump to sculptures of dinosaurs ruining playgrounds. The usual I guess :)
Following this is a section about drawing a playground contraption themselves. Yaguchi draws something looking like a soft ice-cream in a cup. She gets advised to decorate it with hearts. As she explains her idea, Haruki just shakes his head and tells her it's a weird idea :P
Weekly entup corner: Featured movie is Hancock. In the theme of the movie, with super-heroes and super-powers and all, this week's game is some sort of super-sealing pain game.
They are to do hanko (seal / 判子), and it's supposed to be ku (painful / 苦), so as usual it all adds up (hankokku). Although truth being said, even the hosts need this one explained, and once there, they don't seem fully convinced. Maimai keeps on explaining, it's about heroes, so they'll need some pain to show their true heroism ;)
Once the name is explained and the get to the actual games the hosts are even more dismissing. Not approved! Basically the game is about pushing a seal onto your opponent, and see if you can read it afterwards. This is good for absolutely noone involved :D
Yaguchi chooses Haruki's forehead as a prime location. When it's Yaguchi's turn to get "sealed", she starts looking up her arms, saying out loud "Hmmm.... Where would be a good place to do this?" Haruki interupts her: "Hold on. Are you serious?". He wants to inflict pain too :D
Not the best episode ever, but the Haruki's bitching about tako and the Weekly entup corner makes it one above average. Definitely worth it for the occational watcher.
Torrent is up! Also: Introducing silly faces screenshot day :D
