Short summary: WALL-E and robotics all over. Also some Minimoni-quality "short film" :P
This week we go straight to the movie: WALL-E. The hosts have fun with the name "Waaaaaall! Eeeeee! Walley"! They also have WALL-E toys in the studio. Guess they really like this one :)
Yaguchi is all "Chou kawaii!!!" over the "female star" of the movie. And not just a little bit! Watching Yaguchi totally flip over this toy is both cute and amusing at the same time. Seeing Yaguchi's reaction, I'll take the show's word for it: This is an awesome date-movie :)
For reference of preferences: Haruki seem's to have something against Pixar in general, and he lets us know. Yaguchi takes great offence and this causes loud discussions in the studio. Yaguchi even goes so far as to say that she wont "hang out together with Haruki" anymore :D
This week's movie related feature is "I want to become WALL-E", you know, act like a robot. I'm still disappointed they didn't bring in Perfume for this one!! Instead we get some weird guy doing robot imitations :<
Evidently the weird guy is called TAKAHIRO-San (with capital letters) and has a performance showcase in Tokyo December 8th. Anyway, following his appearance they talk about how his "dance" is treated in the west (here represented with NYC) versus in Japan. In the west it's "cool", but in Japan he gets asked "Is that work?"
Following this they practice and do robo-dancing. The most interesting part here is probably just how concentrated the hosts are. Just check Yaguchi's look in the screenshots ;)
This goes on for a while. Unless I'm mistaken Haruki airs some worries about where the (quality-)level of this program is heading. And I kinda agree: Apart from seeing Yaguchi's over the top enthusiasm for this, there's not really much here and had I not been writing a summary, I could easily have skipped this part.
They agree on getting more WALL-E like in the studio and does more robo-moves. This has Minimoni-quality written all over it, so if you don't want to miss this, skip to 15:45. Haruki also utters "bad joke" almost immediately :D
Following this we have the new Maimai corner, now called Tsutaya-club. Surprisingly the themes they have chosen for December are exactly the same themes they chose for December last week. Haruki has a different explenation for his stance this time, and Yaguchi is not quite following, as can be seen in the screenshots :)
And as promised Maimai shows up, but this is an at location feature, and not in the studio. At location at Tsutaya I might mention, at besides the movie-rack we see Maimai drooling over some Haribo sweets :P
Anyway, compared to the old corner this pretty much comes off as an prolonged Tsutaya ad. Evidently they will visit different Tsutaya shops each week. Please excuse me for not being overly impressed about this section :D
Not too much really happens this episode and I probably made it sound boring as heck, but Yaguchi looks super-cute with those pigtails and silly outfits and all. Plus as you surely know she is cuter than ever when she gets agitated and she gets that all the time ;)
For reason I'm totally unaware of we also get directed to www.tv-asahi.co.jp/movie/. Check out at as you please, but there seem to be little interesting material there.
While this week was all robots and stuff, next week has a more human stuff. Like painful massages :D
This week also: Yours truly brings you screenshots and torrent!
