So not having seen the movie I have absolutely no idea if this is total dreck or not, but hey! It has Yaguchi in it, so it can't be all bad.
ampedechoz had this handy amazon link. I couldn't find it at CDJapan yet, but if it's out, it is out, and it probably just a matter of time before they have it in stock as well.
Go crazy, go buy ;)
Update: Now also at CDJapan. Unfortunately this release seems to have no subs. Maybe a later international release?

Thanks to ampedechoz for posting this. For those interested, I'm delighted to announce (or parrot) that Yaguchi's movie Kung fu kun will be available on DVD in August. August 6th to be exact.
As far as I can tell it's a regular DVD, not Bluray, and most likely region 2 like all other Japanese releases. You guys in the US better find yourself a region-free player asap.
Preorder your first press, speciel edition copy at CDJapan or whatever your preferred online-store is now :)

Yaguchi Mari was a guest on KTV's Ufufu no Puno. This appears to be some early Saturday TV-show with various reports and so on. That being the case, I'm not really surprised this one has been cut down.
Hence for most of the show, we only see Yaguchi in the top right corner every now and then. Even the studio sections have been pretty ruthlessly cut, so getting too much useful stuff out of this clip doesn't really seem worth it.
For those interested, first report seems to be abotu food around the world, what is eaten, how much it costs. We drop by Australia and also see some cricket and BBQ. That's the kinda stuff we get.

Kung-fu kun premiers in Japan March 29th, and ampedechoz has some shots from the actual movie. Thought I'd just toss them along to you people here as well.
Doesn't really say much about the movie, but Yaguchi does look cute here :)

ampedechoz on JPM has the news and the poster for us to behold.
Ofcourse I'm making a copy here, so you wont ever have to click your way to the thread on JPM and all that ;)
Looking at the poster, clearly Yaguchi isn't the lead actress here, but we knew that up front. And even though it's a kids movie, I'd love to see this one.

Guess Yaguchi will be at more than just Cellphone Cinema Festivals! Thanks for dadedidodu for watching the forums and using the "Tip me off!"-link. Seems there are quite a few news-stories missing!
The 58th Berlin International Film Festival, being held from February 7th to 17th. Featured will be the new movie "Kung-fu kun" where Yaguchi happens to have a role :) Movie is nominated for the Generation Kplus Award, which is a kidss jury prize.
Movie will be shows February 13th, and the award will be handed out February 16th. Movie will be out in cinemas in Japan March 29th. Who knows? Maybe we will see Kung-fu kun outside Japan, with subs and all :)

Ampedechoz over at JPM decided to post a few photos of Yaguchi appearing at the Tokyo International Film Festival, promoting her new movie Kung-Fu Kun. Just thought I'd post them here in case anyone missed it.
As you can see in the thread here, there are enough comments about Yaguchi looking as cute as ever, and some wonder where on earth they got hold of a actor shorter than Yaguchi, but still able to walk XD
Anyway. Here are the pictures. There's also this Japanese article about the movie, but it's kinda early here, and I need to get to work :P

ampedechoz at JPM brings us more news on Yaguchi's new movie. The movie now has a website :D
Cast seems to be mostly the same, with among others Sakuradzuka Yakkun and Sasano Takeshi. But as far as I can see there is a new addition: Satou Megumi!
This movie, with this cast, might probably be pretty good.
