Uta doki may be gone, but the legacy lives on. Once again sludgetrap has gone on a yotube video posting-spree over at the Hello! Online forums, while I'm just leeching the news. This time around he has his focus on Yaguhi's Uta doki performances.

Hey peeps, prodygee is here again but now with something you all probably like.
Since Christmas is over, every one should be going back to work, and every thing should be normal again. I know it's pretty boring, so to cheer us all up I here have 6 Uta Doki episodes all in high-quality video! They all run in 60 frames per second, meaning super smooth video as if she's right there in your home.
Now there's actually no need for screenshots as you already have seen these Uta Doki's ;). But if you just incist on it, press the 'Uta Doki' button right there to the left of your screen to see all Uta Doki episodes with their screenshots and review.

Yaguchi is back on Uta doki for her final appearance here this year, and this evening we have Yaguchi performing "Saraba Siberia Tetsudou" together with Ineba Akira.
Compared to her last perf this is way up-beat, and we get not only a duet, but also something like a short guitar-solo on acoustic guitar here.
Still same outfit though. I'll just says that it grows on you and be done with it by now ;)

Once upon a time there was talk night on Uta doki and talk they did.
Basically what we have here is a pretty short yet interesting talk. And I must Mitsui really have have gained some credits in my books from these Uta doki. She really does some odd little things ;)
After a brief introduction where Yaguchi mentions taking down Ishikawa, Mitsui presents Yaguchi's top 3 Uta doki performances (no idea how this was ranked though). She then proceeds by saying "Let's take it from the top"! Yaguchi has to correct her, and then we get the round up.

Back from the family dinner and all that entails and it's getting pretty late. Now what would match my mood better than a chill Uta doki performance with Yaguchi and Konkon?
I know it's been mentioned a million times on the forums already, but Konkon's voice has really improved lately, as seen on her recent Uta doki performances. Teamed up with Yaguchi we are in for a good performance :)
The song, Itsuka no Merry Christmas, is really a nice, calm and slow lullaby-like song and provides a great finish for a hectic thing like Christmas eve can be. Yaguchi and Konkon pulls it off nicely and calmly, although it doesn't make for much of a visual show. But that's OK. I'm not even going to complain about Yaguchi still wearing that silly hat!

Right right. Today the Yaguchi Mari Christmast 2007 Uta Doki bonanza continues and today we have Yaguchi performing Hirose Koumi's "Gerende ga tokeruhodo Koishitai". Aika does her announcing thing, before we get our Yaguchi fix, and this time she doesn't interfere with the singing ;)
Not having heard this song before, I must say it is a lot more upbeat than yesterday's performance with a little more "funky" beats and a more 90s sound. Yaguchi delivers it absoulutely convincingly, but I must admit my mind was on something else while watching this one.

The Yaguchi Mari Uta Doki 2007 Christmas Bonanzy has started! Looking at my schedule back here, my source (*cough*) must have fezzed up, because first one out is Matsutouya Yumi's "Koibito ga Santa Claus".
Not really the biggest Mitsui Aika fan out there, I still say she did OK here. Enough enthusiasm without overdoing it, but let's move on to what counts: Yaguchi! :D
Yaguchi is in the studio, in one of those neat female Santa Outfits. And not that I'm the one to speak since Oslo isn't exactly covered in snow right now, but the studio is covered in white balloons. A merry, white, Mari Christmas to us all, I guess ;)

Listening to it for the first time I thought "Hey, she sounds just like one of my all-time favorite Japanese singers, Chisato Moritaka". Exactly her style, and I did get the period right...
"Mugon Iroppoi" was in fact sung by Shizuka Kudo and is a perfect example for a late-80s jpop song.
Mari does a nice job flirting with the camera again, and for her last appearance on the Uta Doki feature honoring her she even changed her costume, sans le wool cap at last.
Why she gestures us to "shhhhhh" in the end I don't know though. Maybe she wants us to savour the last six days with a brief commemorative moment :-)

Today is "Talk Day", so no one can mind Gaki talking. But fortunately for all Yaguchians Mari takes care of most of the conversation. And she is her usual bubbly self, even making the crew laugh several times.
They chat about her favorite songs as usual and try not to freeze too much (Mari not only has her beloved wool cap but also a cushion to keep her knees warm this time).
She even gives little impromptu performances. Really nice one this episode is.
