2008.8.18 - prodygee

It's time for them pictures, I've been waiting 'till I finally got lots of -good ones of- them. Though most of these are new ones from old sets. Tough eh? :p

+ some ones I found that just had to be added - oldies.

Try out PicLens on our site if you haven't already!

Thanks our super cool 'Tip me off!'-feature, anyone is able to get their own Yaguchi news here on the site. And today we got a little help from one of the good guys, Ashi. He or she tipped us off telling Yaguchi is going to do some more voice-acting. While that was already reported, a friendly reminder every now and then is always nice. Especially when redigging into the matters gives us some new info.

(..) Yaguchi will be part of the dubbing cast for the Japanese dub of 'Journey to the Center of the Earth'. She'll be doing the voice of Hannah Ásgeirsson, who I -think- is one of the main characters

Awesome! If you ever saw the original show, you'll love this one. Filmed using a handycam by the girls themselves. The original title of this is 'Ura Hawaii'.

Youtube is filled with clips from this, but here's finally a full version - including inside-airplane footage of Yaguchi and more Yaguchi. This was all during her blonde-period. Automatically equalling win.

You can find it here.

"Off for the weekend"

2008.7.31 - Jostein

I wont be gone anywhere this weekend, but I'll be taking my entire connection down and hence the site and all my services will pretty much be offline.

For those interested: My ultra-sophisticated fantastic router needs a few updates applied, and since I've been a tad lazy on that part recently, this means I have to take the whole thing down and do a reinstall, as opposed to a simple live update.

Hopefully it wont mean too many hours of downtime, but you never know. So if the site is gone and away sometime weekendish: No need to panic, just check back later.

Calling in for editor(s)

2008.7.27 - Jostein

This is a general announcement going out to any Yaguchi-fan wanting to contribute (and early access to new stuff).

Ok. So I'm pretty busy these days, prodygee seems somewhat busy as well, and (hopefully) we all know Mattthecat and that he spends days and nights working on Ayaya-related things, so I don't feel like bothering him with work unless strictly needed.

Now check this against Yaguchi's current schedule. Yeah. She may not be very active within H!P, but she sure is busy none the less.

There's no way we're getting all this covered properly with the limited manpower we have. At times I feel we don't even get all the torrents out, but mucho props to prodygee for putting in the effort there.

So I'm calling out to any Yaguchi-fan who may feel like contributing to the site and community. If you want to sign up as a co-editor on this site, keep the following in mind:

More on Yaguchi's new movie

2008.7.18 - Jostein

ampedechoz over at JPM has reported that there is more info on the subject over at Official Hello! Project homepage.

From what I can see there isn't too much new stuff, basically confirming most of the info already out there. What's new is that is now has a official site hosted by Gyao. Also the movie will be 92 minutes long.

Not much, but thought I'd report it none the less.

Right now I wish my forums name was Philosoranter. Why you say? Not that you should trust anything said on internet forums, but this guy is not known to bullshit, so I'll take his word for it.

It all goes down here. Basically Philosoranter will be on Tokyo Friend Park II, airing July 28th. Now why would we care about that, on this site of all things? Yaguchi will be there too. The bastard!

Not that I have the full forum history for it, but Mr Waffles backs him up, giving some background:

ampedechoz has news on the little one, and according to him, Yaguchi Mari will be working on the dubbed, Japanese soundtrack for the world first full-length 3d movie "Journey to the center of the earth", as the role of Hannah.

Other people also working on the Japanese dub is Sawamura Ikki, Anita Briem and Irie Jingi. The Japanese release date is scheduled to be October 25th, and it is expected to cause a "explosion" in movie-technology and interest in 3D movies.

Not major news, but I thought I'd just mention it anyway. It's always good to see that Yaguchi is busy :) Like with the anime she did voices for, too bad there will be no 3D Yaguchi here.
